What I’ve seen is those who aren’t allowed to F-up when they’re young will turn against parental advice when they’re adults and then F-up in an effort to be individuals. Unfortunately, the stakes are a lot higher and more “expensive” at that time. It’s nice to get “learning the hard way” out of the way early on. It’s unavoidable, right?
