The bobbing and weaving some do to avoid feeling the feels, and then try to fix everything in 3 or less sentences, is astonishing. I recently learned that shifting the mind into compassion mode actually creates a physiological calming in the brain that allows heroic actions. I literally use it when I need to find courage. Try it. Totally works. Used it last night at an ER visit with my friend who fell. I hate hospitals, but the shift to compassion worked yet again. Thank you Jessica for the reminder
