I’m making my appointment today for next week! In 2017, one month after my mom passed I got shingles that uniquely presented in between my two smallest toes. Doc thought it was bacterial and gave me some ointment. So over the week the rash grew along the medial plantar nerve on the bottom of my foot, up the sciatic nerve and to the area next to my tailbone. Then I went to the dermatologist because I was convinced it was shingles, which it was. By the time I got the anti-viral Rx the damage was done. It's 6 years later and I have permanently numb and painful feet, nerve tingles all across my back, and every night it takes 45 mins for my nerves to calm down in my legs when i lay down to go to bed. I actually feel like my brain is not the same since then. I can't walk for long periods without suffering later. I heard the vax can even clear out some old virus. So, long story to say you really, really don't want the wrath of shingles in your life. It ruins everything. Thanks for the reminder.
