We seek connection with others via this symmetry, likely in a deep part of our brain related to that same safety mechanism that senses the AI "deadness." Creepy, but I'm curious. During masking I looked to people's eyes for that connection but always felt disconnected. It's nice to see people's faces again, symmetrical or not.
